If you wish, the Rosary can be said each evening (in the home or funeral parlor) prior to the remains being taken to the Church. You might want the Parish Pries to be present to lead the Rosary - or you may prefer a less formal and more private arrangement; the choice is yours.
If you wish to choose readings for the Funeral Mass, please contact the Parish Priest to discuss your choice. Alternatively, he will be happy to choose readings for you.
It is also appropriate for a member of the family to read the Bibbing Prayers. These wprayers may be composed by the family themselves or, alternatively, the Parish Priest will give you sample bidding prayers which you can use as they are or modify.
You may choose to have one (or two) readers. (i.e. one person to read the Scripture reading and one to read the Bibbing Prayers.) If you have no one to read for you, tell the Parish Priest and he will be happy to arrange a parish representative to read.
You may decide to involve family members in the Offertory Procession. A maximum of 4 people can be involved in bringing the gifts. Please discuss the Offertory Procession when making Funeral arrangements with the Parish Priest
